For this series of images, I shot the scars of my subjects, then had them tell the story behind it as they looked directly into the camera. I instructed them to tell me as much as they could as far as details and how the event has come to change them. The series is about the viewer trying to relate to these subjects without being able to physically hear their stories. All they have to go on is the picture of the scar and the faces caught mid-story. Their minds have to try to piece in what has happened to these individuals and how they feel as a result. The viewer's own personal experiences and interpretation creates a unique story with every subject.
